Tim Phelan is an associate in the firm’s Litigation, Estates and Constitutional Advocacy Groups.

Tim is based in our firm’s Elliot Lake office, where he practices in estate litigation, commercial disputes, personal injury matters, municipal law, and a variety of other areas to suit the diverse needs of Northern Ontarians. Tim and has appeared before the Superior Court of Ontario, the Divisional Court of Ontario, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. As a Northern Ontarian himself, Tim is passionate about providing quality legal services to fellow Northern Ontarians.

Tim attended Queen’s University, earning a BA (Honours) in Political Science and History in 2017. From there, Tim attended the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law where he graduated cum laude with a focus in public law in 2020. While a student at the University of Ottawa, Tim was a member of the inaugural executive of the faculty’s chapter of Elephant in the Room, a national campaign to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and promote mental health in the legal profession.

Tim is active in his community, serving on an advisory committee to City Council, and volunteering with the local Rotary Club as its President-Elect.

When not at work, Tim can usually be found at the local golf course, ski hill, or curling club.
