Ryan Dearden is an associate lawyer with the Estate Planning & Administration Group. Ryan’s practice is primarily focused on estate planning/administration but also including applications for guardianship, passing of accounts, and other matters requiring judicial approval. After receiving his accreditation from the National Committee of Accreditation (NCA) and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Newcastle University, in the United Kingdom, where he is a dual citizen.

Having also completed his articles with the firm before becoming an associate, Ryan is a key member of the Estates and Trusts team. He brings to his clients a wide range of experience and knowledge, advising on multi-jurisdictional estate administration, proactive estate planning to protect against potential litigation, and the interplay of testamentary freedoms and the support of dependents. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryan offered his estate planning services to the 911 community and worked closely with various divisions of first responders to bring awareness to the risks and issues arising from dying unexpectedly without a Will.
